Delphinium Guinevere Delphinium Cultorum is a popular garden perennial from Pacific Giant Hybrids series. Delphinium Guinevere seeds can be sown directly outdoors, but for the early establishment the seeds are started indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Delphinium Guinevere features foliage with deeply-cut, dark-green leaves and blooms with spikes of extra large, lavender-pink delphinium flowers. Hummingbirds love to visit blooming delphiniums.
Delphinium Guinevere is often grown as a background or border plant in cottage and informal gardens, but also Delphinium can be used for mass planting in wildflower gardens and naturalized landscapes. Delphinium Cultorum seeds do not require any special treatment prior sowing, and the established Delphinium Guinevere likes to grow in full sun and rich, well drained soil. Because of its is extra large flowers and tall flower stems, Delphinium Pacific Giant requires staking to avoid being knocked over by the wind. Delphinium Guinevere makes one of the best cut flowers.
