Not a true begonia, the strawberry begonia is actually an alpine plant in the Saxifrage family. It prefers cooler temperatures than a typical houseplant (45⁰-65⁰ F.) Similar to a strawberry plant, it produces runners with baby plantlets that can be propagated to form new plants. Or, let them cascade to create a beautiful hanging pot.
